Orthodontist Serving Wimauma, Florida

There is no orthodontist in Wimauma. The Orthodontic Gallery serves Wimauma families from our Riverview office at 10061 Beach Verbena Drive, about 25 minutes north. We speak Spanish, traditional braces start at $500 down with no-interest payment plans, and the consultation is free. Dr. Wakas Abdulrazzaq is a board-certified orthodontist.

Wimauma has the highest share of children of any community in this part of the county. Roughly 38 percent of people here are under 18. It also has, as far as we can find, no orthodontist, no orthodontic page written by anyone who has been here, and a search result for “orthodontist in Wimauma” that returns general dentists, insurance directories, and one practice thirty miles away in Manatee County running an automated page with the town’s name pasted into it.

Wimauma deserves better than a mail merge. So here is a real page.

Our staff speaks Spanish. You can call, ask questions, and have your treatment plan explained in Spanish, and the consultation costs nothing either way. More on our Spanish-language page.

About an hour. We take photographs, an X-ray, and a 3D scan with a small wand rather than a tray of impression material, which children in particular find much easier. Dr. Abdulrazzaq examines the teeth, the bite, and the jaws, then explains what he sees and what the options are, with our staff translating so you follow every part of it.

You leave with a written treatment plan and the cost on it. Nothing is decided that day. See your first visit.

Wimauma sits south and east of everything else in this part of the county, along State Road 674 and down US-301, closer to the Little Manatee River than to any interstate exit. It has been an agricultural community for well over a century, and it still is. That history is written into the town’s institutions, most visibly in RCMA Wimauma Academy, the Redlands Christian Migrant Association school that has served farmworking families here for decades.

The Wimauma Park and Sports Complex and Balm Park and Community Center carry the local youth sport. Little Manatee River State Park is on the doorstep.

The Drive

About 25 minutes from Wimauma, north on US-301 or up I-75, to our Riverview office on Beach Verbena Drive just off 301 near Gibsonton Drive. That is the longest drive of any community we serve, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. What we can do is respect it: appointments scheduled to run on time, adjustment visits kept short, evening and Saturday times held for families who cannot take a weekday morning off, and treatment planned with an eye to the number of trips it takes.

Wimauma Schools

High school: Aquilla J. Morgan High School. Elementary: Wimauma Elementary School, Reddick Elementary School. Also serving: RCMA Wimauma Academy families

What Financing and Insurance Options Do We Offer?

We will put this before the clinical detail, because for most families here it is the question that decides everything.

Traditional braces start at $500 down. The rest is spread across the length of treatment.

Our payment plans are financed in-house and carry no interest. Not zero percent for twelve months and then something else. No interest, for the term of the plan.

We accept CareCredit, and HSA and FSA funds if you have them through work.

The consultation is free, including the examination, the imaging, and a written treatment plan with the fee on it. You take that document home. Nothing is owed whether you start treatment or not.

We do not quote prices over the phone, because a number without an examination behind it is not a real number. What we will do is give you the real one, in writing, at no cost, so you can decide with actual information. See cost and financing.

Questions From Wimauma Families

Where is the nearest orthodontist to Wimauma?

There is no orthodontic specialty practice in Wimauma itself. The nearest ones are in Riverview, Gibsonton, and Apollo Beach. We are in Riverview at 10061 Beach Verbena Drive, roughly 25 minutes north on US-301 or I-75.

Sí. Nuestro personal habla español y puede atenderle en español por teléfono y en la oficina, incluyendo la explicación de su plan de tratamiento y de los pagos. Yes. Our staff speaks Spanish and can help you in Spanish by phone and in the office, including explaining your treatment plan and your payments.

That is a fair question and the honest answer depends on the case. For a straightforward one, the nearest competent provider may serve you well. For anything involving jaw growth, expansion, extractions, or a case already treated once before, seeing an orthodontic specialist rather than a general dentist matters more than the drive does. The free consultation is a good way to find out which situation you are in before committing to anything.

Yes, and please do. We will look at what is there and tell you honestly where things stand. Orthodontic treatment does need healthy teeth and gums to start, so if there is decay or gum inflammation to address first, we will say so and help you get it sorted with a dentist before we begin. Nobody here is going to make you feel bad about it.
